Lymphedema Detox Smoothie Recipes

Detox Smoothie

Detox Smoothie recipes have become the new diet trend of fitness experts worldwide. People who have incorporated them in their daily day-to-day balanced diet routines, swear by their goodness and encourage others to take a sip too.

What is a detox smoothie? It is your regular smoothie but packed with the punch of vitamins, minerals and micronutrients. Be it a weight-loss program or kicking hangovers or a wish for healthier skin, count on these liquid-buddies to save your day. And the best part- you can experiment with your own ingredients and add or subtract the ones you prefer. No hard and fast rules, whatsoever!

How does it help in reducing the Lymphedema? A detox smoothie will work together with your immune system in flushing out the harmful toxins out of your body, reduce inflammation, accelerate the healing process and aid in weight loss.

Lifestyle advisor Polly in her blog Poly’s Path writes that she was able to considerably reduce the swelling in her right leg by sticking to green detox smoothie recipes. She maintains that by combining the benefits of both green vegetables and healthy foods, she reaped the maximum benefit out of her smoothies.

Polly also advises beginners to go easy with the quantity of greens in their detox smoothie by adding more fruits so as to maintain a ratio of 60:40. They are also advised to leave out the cabbage and broccoli in the beginning and only add them if their taste-buds are comfortable enough.

The idea of smoothie itself is to keep it tasty and healthy so that you never feel compelled to drink it like a bitter tonic. Just go with your favorite veggies and fruits to tickle your taste buds and don’t forget your good old compression garments! Incorporate them both in your regular use and reap the rewards.

Now without any further ado, here are the top 3 detox smoothie recipes:
