Fat deposits on legs are one of those things that many women dread to have. They’re not good to look at and in some cases, can affect one’s mobility and overall quality of life.

Like lipedema, the exact cause of lipoma is unknown. One’s risk of developing lipoma increases if there is a family history of it.

Some types of liposuction like the water-assisted and tumescent liposuction are effective in getting rid of lipedema fat. However, before this procedure can be done, you need to consult first a specialist.


Liposuction also works well for getting rid of fat deposits on legs caused by lipoma.


Aside from liposuction, fat deposits from lipoma can also be reduced through steroid injections. You need to know though that these injections only shrink the lipoma but don’t really get rid of it.
